1 Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, technical requirements and inspection methods of the corrugated board flexo water-based ink printing process. This standard applies to the process control of water-based ink corrugated board flexographic printing. This standard does not apply to the pre-printing of corrugated cardboard flexographic plates.

3 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document. 3.1 Warpage The degree to which corrugated cardboard is curved and uneven when placed horizontally.

4 Technical requirements

4.1 Materials 4.1.1 Corrugated cardboard 4.1.1.1 Appearance The surface should be smooth, consistent in color, free of holes, cracks, wrinkles, perforation, foreign matter, and dirt. Corrugated board flexographic printing process control requirements 4.1.1.2 Bursting strength Bursting strength should meet the requirements of qualified products in Table 1 of GB/T 6544-2008. 4.1.1.3 Edge compression strength The edge pressure strength should meet the requirements of qualified products in Table 1 of GB/T 6544-2008. 4.1.1.4 Adhesion strength The bonding strength should meet the requirements of 5.2.2 in GB/T 6544-2008. 4.1.1.5 Water absorption The water absorption of the front side of the cardboard should not be more than 60 g/m2; the water absorption of the front side of the coated paper should not be more than 40 g/m2. 4.1.1.6 Ink absorption The ink absorption of the front side of the cardboard should not be less than 17%; the ink absorption of the front side of the coated paper should not be less than 30%. 4.1.1.7 Warpage There should be no warpage greater than 20 mm on a single piece of corrugated cardboard with a length of 1 m. 4.1.2 Water-based ink It shall meet the requirements of water-based ink for paper flexo printing in 3.1 Table 1 of QB/T 2825-2017. 4.1.3 Flexographic printing plate 4.1.3.1 Box board The apparent quality should meet the requirements of 3.3 in HG/T 4009-2008, the hardness of the flexographic plate, imaging performance, ink absorption, and ink adhesion It should meet the requirements of HG/T 4009-2008. 4.1.3.2 Coated paper It shall meet the requirements of 10 in CY/T 222-2020. 4.2 Process requirements 4.2.1 The working environment should be clean and tidy, the temperature should be 10 ℃ ~ 35 ℃, and the humidity should be RH 10% ~ 75%. 4.2.2 The paper feed position tolerance should be ±1.4 mm, and the paper feed skew tolerance should be ±1.2 mm. 4.2.3 The selection of anilox rollers should meet the requirements of Table 1. 4.2.4 Overprint accuracy The overprint deviation of halftone printing should be no more than 0.3 mm, and the overprint deviation of solid color block printing should be no more than 0.7 mm. 4.2.5 Increased outlets The dot increase at 50% gradation value should not exceed 15%. 4.2.6 Tone Copy Range Within the range of 5% to 90% tone reproduction, the dots should be transferred to the printed product stably and consistently. 4.2.7 Density value The control range of the solid reflection density value of the printed primary colors should meet the requirements of the corrugated cardboard in Appendix C of GB/T 17934.6-2014.

5 Inspection method

5.1 Corrugated cardboard 5.1.1 Appearance Visual inspection. 5.1.2 Bursting strength Test according to GB/T 6545. 5.1.3 Edge pressure strength Test according to GB/T 6546. 5.1.4 Adhesive strength Test according to GB/T 6548 regulations. 5.1.5 Warpage Test according to the method specified in Appendix D of CY/T 156-2017. 5.1.6 Water absorption of paper Test according to the method specified in GB/T 1540. 5.1.7 Ink absorption of paper Test according to the method specified in GB/T 12911. 5.2 Water-based ink It should be tested in accordance with QB/T 2825-2017. 5.3 Flexographic printing plate 5.3.1 Box board The inspection shall be carried out in accordance with the corresponding method of HG/T 4009-2008. 5.3.2 Coated paper The detection should be carried out in accordance with the corresponding method in CY/T 222-2020. 5.4 Process conditions 5.4.1 Temperature and humidity Use a thermometer and hygrometer that meets the range for measurement. 5.4.2 Tolerance of paper feeding position Continuous feeding and printing 100 sheets, using a vernier caliper with a graduation of 0.02 mm to detect and record the printing in the middle of 100 sheets The distance from the center point of the crosshair to the leading edge of the paper, and the difference between the maximum distance and the minimum distance is used as the paper feeding position deviation. 5.4.3 Tolerance of feed skew Continuous feeding and printing of 100 sheets, using a vernier caliper with an graduation of 0.02 mm to detect and record the printing on both ends of the 100 sheets The distance between the center point of the cross line and the leading edge of the paper, respectively calculate the numerical difference of the measured distance between the two ends of the same paper, and use the largest numerical difference as The paper feed is skewed. 5.4.4 Anilox roller Compare the factory inspection report of the anilox roller to check the number of lines and the ink capacity of the anilox roller. 5.4.5 Overprint accuracy Use a magnifying glass with a division value of 0.02 mm to check the overprint cross line, check the overprint error of any two colors, and use the maximum value as the print Overprint error of the sheet. 5.4.6 Increase in outlets Use a spectrophotometer that meets the requirements of GB/T 19437 for measurement. 5.4.7 Tone Copy Range Use a 10x magnifying glass to check the reproduction of 5% and 90% of the dots on the measurement and control strip. 5.4.8 Density value Use a reflection densitometer that meets the requirements of GB/T 23649 for testing.
