3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this standard.
3.1
The whole half of the walnut kernel (half cotyledon); if the kernel is missing, the shortage is less than half of the whole half of the pellet is still half kernel.
3.2
The shortage of half kernels is about 1/4 of the whole half-particle, but not more than 3/8 of the kernel.
3.3
The longitudinal kernels, such as kernel defects, the remaining part is not less than the vertical split half kernels 3/4 still as a four-point kernel.
3.4
Walnuts that are smaller or not in line with the four-point kernel, but cannot pass through a 10 mm aperture hole sieve.
3.5
The walnut kernels were sieved through a circular aperture of 10 mm through a circular aperture sieve of 2 mm aperture.
