This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for Standardization Work Part 1.Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents"

This document replaces LY/T 1812-2009 "Forest Land Classification". Compared with LY/T 1812-2009, the main technical changes are as follows.
--- Changed the first-level land type, from 8 to 7 (see Chapter 5, see Chapter 5 of the.2009 edition);
---Added the first-class land type (see Chapter 5, see Chapter 5 of the.2009 edition);
---Deleted the first-class land type of forest land and the second-class land type of mangrove land, and adjusted the arbor forest land and bamboo forest land from the second-class land type to the first-class land type.

--- Deleted the first-class land category of forest without standing trees, and regarded the felled land and fire-burned land as the second-class land category (see Table 1, see

Forest classification
1 Scope
This document specifies the classification and classification system and classification technical standards of forest land resources.
This document is mainly applicable to nationwide forest resource monitoring, planning and design, and forest management.

3 Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1
forestland
Land used for forestry ecological construction and production and operation.
3.2
canopy closure
The ratio of the vertical projected area of the canopy to the woodland area.
3.3
Percentage of shrub canopy vertical projected area to woodland area.
4 Principles of forest classification
4.1 The principle is based on the classification of forest land coverage types, supplemented by the classification of utilization status.
4.2 The principle of taking into account and connecting with the existing forest land classification as much as possible.
4.3 Principles that facilitate the planning and design of forest resources, management, asset management and the implementation of the forest ecological benefit compensation system.
5 Woodland classification
Woodland is divided into two levels. The first level is divided into seven categories, including tree forest land, bamboo forest land, sparse forest land, shrub forest land, unforested afforestation land, trails
ground, nursery ground. Shrub land and unforested afforestation are divided into two second-level land categories, and the slash land is divided into three second-level land categories.
