1.Scope
This document specifies the principles and requirements for the selection, use, and maintenance of hand protective equipment.
This document applies to hand protective equipment used in production activities.
This document does not apply to medical and fire-fighting hand protective equipment.

3.Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

Protective gear worn by professionals to protect their hands and/or arms from physical, chemical, and microbial injuries.

The entire process of assessing the magnitude of the hazard and the degree of harm to the hands, and determining whether the hazard is permissible.
4.Selection of Hand Protective Equipment
4.1 General Requirements
Hand protective equipment protects against hazards including physical injuries (such as mechanical injuries, thermal injuries, cryogenic injuries, electrical injuries, etc.) and chemical injuries.
In addition to considerations such as microbial damage, the general requirements for selecting hand protective equipment are as follows.

4.2.2 Hazard Assessment Elements
A hazard assessment of the work environment should include at least the following elements.
a) Job categories, production processes, equipment layout, raw materials and equipment, and characteristics of manual operations;
b) The degree of harm, scope of impact, and severity of consequences of the hazardous factors;
c) The likelihood that hazardous factors will lead to an accident;
d) Duration and frequency of continuous hand exposure to hazardous factors;
e) The effectiveness of the engineering control measures already implemented;
f) Residual hazards and the scientific and practical application of the selected hand protective equipment.
4.3 Selection
Based on the results of the hazard assessment, the type of work, and the characteristics of the personnel, protective requirements should be determined, and appropriate hand protective equipment should include the following.

5.Use of hand protective equipment
5.1 General Requirements
