Extreme pressure lithium lubricating grease
1 Scope
This Standard specifies the classification and marking, requirements and test
methods, inspection rules and marking, packaging, transportation and storage
of extreme pressure lithium lubricating grease made from fatty acid lithium soap
thickened lubricating oil and added with antioxidant and extreme pressure
additives.
This Standard applies to lubricating grease for bearings and gears of high-load
machinery and equipment with operating temperatures ranging from -20°C ~
120°C. It also applies to lubricating grease for centralized lubrication systems.

5.1.1 Factory-exit inspection
Factory-exit batch inspection items include: work cone penetration, dropping
point, corrosion, oil separation and extreme pressure performance (four-ball
machine method) PB.
Factory-exit cycle inspection items include: evaporation loss, impurity, similar
viscosity, extended work cone penetration, water washout loss and oxidation
stability, which are inspected every six months; corrosion resistance, extreme
pressure performance (Timken method) OK value and low temperature torque,
which are inspected once a year.
5.1.2 Type inspection
Type inspection items include all the items in Table 1. Type inspection shall be
carried out in one of the following cases:
a) When a new product is put into production or when product type
identification;
b) When major changes in raw materials, processes, etc., may affect product
quality;
c) When there is a big difference between the factory-exit inspection result
and the last type inspection result.
5.2 Batching
Under the condition of the same raw materials and technology, each can or
kettle is a group (batch).
5.3 Sampling
Sampling is carried out according to SH/T 0229. 4 kg is taken for inspection
and as retention samples.
5.4 Determination rules
If the factory-exit inspection and type inspection results meet the requirements
of Table 1, the batch of products is determined to be qualified.
5.5 Re-inspection rules
If the factory-exit inspection results do not meet the requirements of Table 1, it
shall take double quantity of samples for re-inspection according to the
provisions of SH/T 0229. If there are still non-conforming items in the re-
inspection results, the batch of products shall be determined unqualified.
