This standard is a revision of LY/T 1173-1995 "Technical Regulations for Forest Fire in Northeast and Inner Mongolia Forest Areas".
The main changes in this standard compared with LY/T 1173-1995 are as follows.
--- Added related terms and definitions;
--- Revised the "fire period";
--- Revised the relevant indicators in the "Use of Fire Standards";
--- Added "underground fire" content;
--- Change the "fire intensity standard", "meteorological elements and combustible water content index" in the original standard to Appendix A and Appendix B of this standard;
--- Deleted the "7 Organization Management" content in the original standard.
Appendix A and Appendix B of this standard are informative annexes.

Forest fire technical regulations
1 Scope
This standard stipulates the fire technology for forest use in the forest areas of Northeast China and Inner Mongolia.
This standard applies to the northeast and Inner Mongolia forest areas. The forest areas north of the Qinling and Huaihe Rivers can be used as reference.
2 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this standard.
2.1
In the management and protection of forests, by controlling the intensity of fire, burning woodland combustibles within the limits prescribed by forest areas, to prevent forest fires
Fires for various purposes such as disasters, control of forest pests and diseases, promotion of forest renewal, restoration of special mountain resources, and improvement of wildlife feed.
