3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this standard.
3.1
The concentration of activated carbon required to reduce the tannic acid concentration from 20 mg/L to 2 mg/L in mg/L.
4 Determination of tannin adsorption value
Unless otherwise specified, the reagents used in this standard are of analytical grade, and the water used shall comply with the third grade water specified in GB/T 6682.
4.1 Method summary
A certain amount of activated carbon sample and tannic acid solution were stirred and adsorbed, filtered, and measured by visible spectrophotometer at 600 nm.
The filtrate absorbance, and the tannic acid concentration in the filtrate was found in the comparison of the tannic acid concentration and the solution absorbance. Calculate the unit concentration of activated carbon
The concentration of tannin acid adsorbed is X/M, and on the double logarithmic coordinates, X/M is taken as the ordinate and 犮 is plotted on the abscissa to make the adsorption isotherm of activated carbon.
Figure. The X/M value at the abscissa of 2 mg/L was found on the isotherm, and it was calculated that the tannin concentration was reduced from 20 mg/L to 2 mg/L.
The concentration of activated carbon is MT, which is the adsorption value of activated carbon tannin.
