This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
This standard replaces YC/T 26-2008 "divinyl cellulose tow for tobacco" and YC/T 27-2002 "polypropylene fiber tow for cigarettes".
This standard is based on YC/T 26-2008 and integrates some parts of YC/T 27-2002. Compared with YC/T 26-2008, except for editing
The main technical changes outside the sexual modification are as follows.
--- Modified the standard name;
--- The scope is modified to apply to cellulose acetate tow for tobacco and polypropylene fiber tow for tobacco;
--- Revised the definition of "tow specification" and added the definition of "wire bundle nominal specification" and "special specification";
--- Modify the "moisture content" indicator to "regain rate";
--- Tow line density and monofilament linear density index were revised to specifications compliance indicators;
--- Cancellation of non-toxic, crimp number, breaking strength, cross-sectional shape, oil content, titanium dioxide content, etc., and corresponding tests
method;
--- Modified the test method for odor and tow line density;
--- Modified the sampling method and canceled the relevant content of the inspection rules.

1 Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, requirements, sampling methods, test methods, packaging, signs, and tobacco tows (hereinafter referred to as tow).
Transportation and storage.
This standard applies to tobacco cellulose acetate tow (hereinafter referred to as vinegar fiber), tobacco polypropylene fiber tow (hereinafter referred to as polypropylene fiber).

The following terms and definitions as defined in GB/T 18771.3-2015 apply to this document.

Monofilament linear density monofilamentlineardensity
The weight of a single wire of a certain length in the tow.
Note 1. The inch system is in units of denier, referred to as denier (D), expressed in grams of 9000 m length of single wire; metric is in tex,
(tex), expressed in grams of a single filament of 1000 m length.
Note 2. Monofilament linear density is usually expressed in dtex and denier (D). 1 special = 10 decitex = 9 denier.

Tow linear density towlineardensity
The weight of a certain length of tow.
Note 1. Inch is in units of denier, referred to as denier (D), expressed in grams of 9000m length tow; metric is in tex, referred to as tex,
Expressed in grams of weight of a 1000 m length tow.
Note 2. Tow line density is usually expressed in kilobits (ktex) and denier (D). 1 kilobit = 1000 special = 9000 denier.

It is represented by a combination of monofilament linear density, tow cross-sectional shape, and tow linear density.
