1 Scope
This standard specifies the food contact materials in wood products formaldehyde gas chromatography detection methods.
This standard applies to the determination of food contact materials in wood products free formaldehyde.

3 Method summary
Formaldehyde under acidic conditions to react with 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazine to form a stable 2,4-dinitrophenyl hydrazone, extracted by cyclohexane, electric distribution
Sub capture detector (ECD) were measured by gas chromatography, external standard.
4 Reagents and materials
Unless otherwise indicated, the reagents used were of analytical grade water as a water GB/T 6682 regulations.
4.1 Cyclohexane. HPLC grade.
4.2 of concentrated hydrochloric acid.
4.3 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazine (2,4-Dinitrophenylhydrazine, CASN o.119-26-6, formula C6H6N4O4, referred DNPH).
4.4 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazine (DNPH) solution. Weigh 0.1g (accurate to 0.01g) 2,4- dinitrophenylhydrazine (DNPH) was dissolved in 24mL
Concentrated hydrochloric acid (4.2), add water volume to 100mL, spare stopper.
4.5 Formaldehyde standard solution (100mg/L). according to GB/T 5009.69 formulated and calibrated.
4.6 Formaldehyde standard solution (1.0μg/mL). precise lessons 1.00mL formaldehyde standard solution was placed in 100mL volumetric flask, dilute with water
Explanation to the mark. This is equivalent to 1.0μg per ml of formaldehyde solution (when using the formulation).
5 Instruments
5.1 Gas chromatograph equipped with ECD detector.
5.2 Analytical balance, a sense of the amount of 0.01mg.
5.3 Vortex.
