1 Scope

This standard specifies the food simulants terephthalic acid determination. This standard applies to food simulants water, 3% acetic acid, 10% ethanol, olive oil and isooctane Determination of terephthalic acid.

3 Method summary

The aqueous food simulants soaking solution directly with a UV detector HPLC instrument measurement; olive oil and isooctane simulated immersion The solution was extracted with dilute sodium bicarbonate solution, extract was acidified with a UV detector with HPLC instrument measurement.

4 Reagents and materials

Unless otherwise noted outside, the reagents were of analytical grade, all required test reagent blank test is performed to ensure that does not contain the analyte and Interference, water is deionized water. 4.1 Methanol. Weigh 15.0g acetic acid (4.5), diluted with water and transferred to 500mL volumetric flask, water volume to Scale. 4.10 aqueous ethanol (10 + 90). Measure 50mL of ethanol (4.6) in 500mL flask with water to volume. 4.11 850g/L phosphorous acid solution. Weigh 85.0g of phosphorous acid, dissolved in water. After cooling to room temperature, add water volume to 100mL. 4.12 sodium acetate buffer solution (pH3.6). Weigh sodium acetate (4.3) 25.0g, was dissolved in 350mL of water, was added 5mL ± 0.1mL Asia Phosphoric acid solution (4.2), with about 50mL glacial acetic acid (4.5), adjust the pH value of 3.6 ± 0.2, dilute to 500mL. Take the above solution 300mL Fluid volume with water to 1000mL. 4.13 1g/L sodium bicarbonate solution. Weigh 0.1g of sodium bicarbonate (4.4), add water to 100mL, dissolved shaking. 4.14 aqueous acetic acid (1 + 1). ice acetic acid and water mixed in a volume ratio of 1.1.
