This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for standardization work Part 1.Structure and drafting rules for standardization documents"

This document replaces LY/T 1973-2011 "Biomass Carbon Rod Forming". Compared with LY/T 1973-2011, except for the structural adjustment and compilation
In addition to logical changes, the main technical changes are as follows.
--- Added the definition of biomass charcoal in "Terms and Definitions" (see 3.1);
--- Deleted the indicator "length" in "technical requirements" (see 4.1 of the.2011 version);
--- Added the indicator "heat value" (see Chapter 4);
--- Changed the grade classification in "Technical Requirements" (see Chapter 4, 4.1 of the.2011 edition);
--- Added "Test methods" (see Chapter 5) and calorific value determination method (see 5.5), and changed the table of test methods in "Technical requirements"
(see 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, 5.4, 5.6, 4.3, 4.4, 4.5, 4.6, 4.7 of the.2011 edition);
--- Changed some technical indicators in "Technical Requirements" (see Chapter 4, 4.1 of the.2011 edition);

1 Scope
This document specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and marking, packaging, transportation and storage of biomass charcoal.
This document applies to biomass charcoal as defined in 3.1.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1
Carbonized charcoal made from biomass such as straw, wood (bamboo) materials, etc., after being pressurized, heated, formed, and carbonized, or made from biomass charcoal powder
Shaped carbon obtained by bonding and shaping.
3.2
Bulk weight
The weight of biomass charcoal per unit volume.
Note. The unit is gram per cubic centimeter (g/cm3).
4 Technical requirements
The technical indicators of biomass charcoal should comply with the requirements of Table 1.
