1 Scope
This standard specifies the requirements for the evaluation of forest sustainability, evaluation methods and classification of evaluation results.
This standard applies to the evaluation of forest sustainability status of forest management units.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1
Forest sustainability
Characterize the quality status, availability, and interference status of forest, forest, and other resources in forest ecosystems, and meet human needs for a long time.
Characteristics of resource utilization, ecological benefits, etc.

Forest management unit forestmanagementunit
Forest resources as the main means of production, long-term engaged in forest management activities, business records with clear business scope and legal person qualifications
Location, including forestry bureaus, forest farms, forest type nature reserves and forest parks.
4 Evaluation indicators and data collection requirements
4.1 Forest sustainability assessment indicators and evaluation units
Forest sustainability assessment indicators include the quality of forest resources (see Table 1), forest resource utilization status and forest disturbance status
(See Table 2) A total of 28 evaluation indicators in three aspects.
Indicators for assessing the quality of forest resources include the naturalness of forests, the ability to maintain forest productivity, and the integrity and stability of forest structures.
Sexual three criteria, there are 15 evaluation indicators such as natural degree, age group and canopy closure; the evaluation unit is a small forest class; the data comes from the latest forest small
Class survey data.
Forest resource utilization assessment indicators include forest coverage, forest land utilization, annual growth and annual harvesting ratios and mature forests
The area ratio is 4 indicators; the evaluation unit is the forest management unit; the data is derived from the latest forest resource inventory data of the forest management unit.
The evaluation index of forest disturbance status includes the area of forest area occupied by pests and diseases, and the forest fire area occupies the forest floor.
