3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1
Camellia oil-teacamelia
A general term for oily species with high oil content and high economic value in Camellia plants. Ordinary oil tea (Camellia
Oleifera), including C. meiocarpa, Zhejiang safflower oil tea (C.chekiangoleosa), Vietnamese oil tea (C.viet-
Namensis), Tengchong safflower oil tea (C. reticulata), Jixian oil tea (C. yuhsienensis), Guangning safflower oil tea (C.
Semiserrata) and so on.
3.2
Effective buds effectivebuds
The buds are full and prominent, and the buds are strong.
4 Basic requirements for picking
Camellia oleifera is produced in accordance with GB/T 16620 standard.
4.1 Site selection requirements
(1) Convenient transportation, good soil and drainage conditions.
(2) The slopes are neat, open, and contiguous.
(3) The slope is below 25°.
4.2 Soil conditions
(1) pH 4.0~6.5.
(2) Good ventilation, drainage and water retention, the gravel content is not more than 20%, and the soil layer is more than 80cm thick.
