3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this standard.
3.1
Osmanthus fragrans varieties for the purpose of harvesting flowers.
3.2
According to the morphological traits and evolution rules of Osmanthus fragrans, the osmanthus varieties are divided into five groups. Jingui, Yingui, Dangui, Sijiui and Caiyegui.

4 Osmanthus fragrans distribution and cultivation area
Osmanthus fragrans is native to southwestern China and the eastern Himalayas, and is also distributed in India, Nepal and Cambodia. Osmanthus flower distribution is north

5 variety selection
The edible osmanthus varieties are mainly composed of Yingui variety group, Jingui variety group, some Dangui variety group and some varieties of four seasons cinnamon varieties.
It is an excellent variety with large flower yield, concentrated flowering period, light color and fragrant taste. See Appendix A for the common edible osmanthus varieties in China.

6.1 Nursery selection
Choose a slightly acidic loam (pH 5.0 to 6.5) or a light loam land block for convenient transportation, shelter from the sun, flat terrain, and good drainage.
