Technical regulations for natural secondary low-yield and low-efficiency forest cultivation
1 Scope
This standard stipulates the classification, cultivation objectives, measures, investigation design, construction requirements and inspection of natural secondary low-yield and low-efficiency forests.
Technical requirements such as collection and file establishment.
This standard applies to the natural secondary forests in the northeastern and eastern Inner Mongolia, and other areas can be implemented.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this standard.
3.1
In forests where wood is produced, forests that have been broken by many destructive harvests or forests that have been bred for many generations have emerged.
The growth rate of fast-growing tree species is less than 3.0m3/(hm2·a), and the growth of slow-growing tree species is less than 1.5m3/(hm2·a).
3.2
In ecological public welfare forests, due to natural or human factors, the ecological public welfare is inefficient, forests grow slowly, and poor quality forests. its
In the natural state, the inefficient forest naturally formed due to poor site conditions or poor growing environment is a native inefficient forest; due to human disturbance or
The inefficient forest formed by improper management is a low-efficiency forest.
3.3
Selecting the target tree species for afforestation under the canopy of the low-efficiency forest, and after the artificial regeneration and growth are stable, the light-transfering is carried out, and the regeneration layer is gradually removed.
Operating measures for growing forest trees.
3.4
Before the artificial regeneration of low-yield and low-efficiency forests, the production operations such as thinning and forest clearing should be carried out to provide sufficient nutrient space for the renewal layer.
Then proceed to update the management measures for afforestation.
3.5
For the transformation and cultivation of low-yield and low-efficiency forests, the forest cultivation process or structure will be changed by adopting technical measures such as thinning and afforestation.
The sub-structure tends to be stable and reasonable, the growth of stand is increased, and the overall function of the stand is improved.
