This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
This standard replaces LY/T 1369-1999 "Secondary Processing Logs" and LY/T 1505-1999 "Northeast and Inner Mongolia Area Secondary Processing Logs".
Compared with LY/T 1369-1999 and LY/T 1505-1999, the main technical changes are as follows.
--- Combine LY/T 1369-1999 and LY/T 1505-1999;
--- unified requirements;
--- Relaxed the sapwood decay, the allowable limit of heartwood decay.

1 Scope
This standard specifies the requirements for secondary processing logs, inspection methods, volume calculations and product markings.
This standard is applicable to logs that have a certain use value because the material is lower than the defect limit of sawing logs.

3 requirements
3.1 Tree species
All needles, broadleaf species.
3.2 size
3.2.1 The gauge is 2m~6m long.
3.2.2 The gauge diameter is more than 14cm.
3.3 Dimensioning, tolerance
3.3.1 The gauge is long and pressed by 0.2m.
3.3.2 The gauge diameter is upgraded by 2cm.
3.3.3 Long-term tolerance 6-2cm.
3.4 Defect Limits
3.4.1 Only limit the decay, other defects are not counted.
3.4.2 The sieve-like decay of spruce, fir and hemlock is not limited.
3.4.3 A basis for assessing the degree of decay on both ends of the surface and the material.
3.4.4 The allowable limits of defects are shown in Table 1.
