3 terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1
Information
Knowledge about the state of things and their operating laws, in a form suitable for communication, storage, or processing.
3.2
Data
Reinterpretable formal representation of information. It can be identified, stored, and processed by a computer.
3.3
Data element
A unit of data described by a series of attributes such as definition, identification, representation, and allowed values is inseparable in a specific semantic environment
The smallest data unit.
3.4
Metadata
Describe the data of a specific information resource object, and can identify and manage the object to achieve effective discovery and acquisition of information resources.
3.5
Data item
The smallest identification unit with independent meaning.
3.6
Data class
A collection of related data elements that describe the same object (a business segment).
3.7
Data subcatalog
If the business link described by the data class can be decomposed into several relatively independent objects, then the set of related data elements of relatively independent objects
Collectively referred to as data subclasses.
3.8
Data set
A collection of all data elements described in this standard.
3.9
Data subset
A collection of data elements divided by educational administrative functions (main management business).
3.10
Code
A symbol describing the value of a single object. The symbol should have a certain regularity, which is easy for computers and people to identify and process.
3.11
Educational Administration Information
EAI (abbreviation)
Information on management operations in the main functional areas of education administration.
4 Architecture of Educational Administration Information
4.1 Composition of metadata for education administration information
EAI's metadata is divided into different subsets, and its architecture is shown in Figure 1. It also expresses the association between the data set and the code set. EAI
Consists of the following 5 subsets.
-XZZX subset of general primary and secondary education management data. a combination of data element definitions for general primary and secondary education management data classes;
-XZZZ secondary vocational education management data subset. a combination of data element definitions for secondary vocational education management data classes;
-XZGJ Higher Education Management Data Subset. a combination of data element definitions for higher education management data classes;
-XZSF Teacher Education Management Data Subset. a combination of data element definitions for teacher education management data classes;
-XZWS subset of foreign affairs management data. Data element definitions that combine foreign affairs management data classes.

4.2 Hierarchical structure of data
Each management data subset divides data items into data classes and data subclasses according to business links and processes, as shown in Figure 2.
4.3 Structure of data elements
4.3.1 Data Item Composition
Figure 2 also shows the presentation structure (data item) of the data element, which specifies the metadata structure of the data element. The metadata structure is as follows.
-Number. the unique identification of the data item, using a globally unified 5-segment 10-bit encoding;
-Name of the data item. It usually consists of the Chinese Pinyin initials (capitalized), which corresponds to the Chinese abbreviation one-to-one.
According to the structure adopted;
-Chinese abbreviation. the name of the data element used, which is semantic and user-oriented;
-Type. The type of data contained in the data item, which is referred to as the type (an attribute) in the data item for short.
-Length. the maximum number of characters (a property) that a data item can hold;
-Constraint. a description of the constraint state of the data item, that is, a mandatory data item or an optional data item (an attribute);
-Value space. the range and specification (a property) of the value of the data item;
-Explanation/example. description or example of data item attributes;
-Reference number. indicates the number that this data item refers to other defined data items.
The above 9 items combine the metadata structure of each business data subset.

4.3.2 Data item names
The data item name usually consists of the Pinyin initials (uppercase) of each Chinese character of "Chinese abbreviation", and corresponds to it one-to-one. It should be in the actual data.
Adopted in the structure.
4.3.3 Data Type
4.3.3.1 Character
The character type is C (-Character), which can be variable length when used in information systems, such as VARCHAR2 (Oracle) or
NVARCHAR (SQL Server).
Date. Full date representation in GB/T 7408, character type, no symbol in the middle, format. YYYYMMDD.
Time. Full time representation in GB/T 7408, character type, no symbol in the middle, format. hhmmss.
4.3.3.2 Numeric
The numeric type is N (-Number), which can participate in calculations.
4.3.3.3 Currency value
The currency value type is M (-Money), which defines the structure object of the amount attribute. This structure includes 3 fields. "currency", "unit" and "gold"
Amount ". The default currency definition is. RMB, unit. Yuan (it can also be defined as. 10,000 yuan when needed), total length. variable length, length after decimals. 4
Bit, value range. number.
When needed, M can be defined as other currencies in accordance with GB/T 12406.
4.3.3.4 Binary types
The binary type is B (-Binary), which should be used in photos or very long text.
4.3.3.5 Text
The text type is T (-Text), which is suitable for a large number of text descriptions. This standard stipulates that the text type T is used when the length is more than.200 characters.
4.3.4 Constraints
Optional data element O (Optional data element). defined in the data class/subclass, but does not have to appear in the instance of the data structure
Data elements.
Mandatory data element M (Madatory data element). Defined in the data class/subclass, the data that should appear in the instance of the data structure
element.
A data item that meets one of the following three principles is a required data element (M).
-Indispensable data items (elements) in the management data class or subclass;
-Data items that need to be exchanged and shared between application systems across management business domains within the scope of education management targeted by the standard;
-Data items that need to meet the statistical requirements or exchanges of higher authorities.
4.3.5 Value space
The format, range, and specification of data element values. Wherever it can be coded, code should be used.
4.3.6 Numbering
Data element numbering indicates the hierarchical structure of the data elements and their components. Uses a globally unified 5-segment 10-bit encoding and numbering
Consists of the first 4 letters and the last 6 digits. The first and second letters represent the standard abbreviation (EAI abbreviation XZ) specified in this standard system.
The 3 and 4 digit letters represent the abbreviation of the data subset, the 5th and 6th digits represent the data class, the 7th and 8th digits represent the data subclass, and finally
The two-digit number represents the number of the data element in the data sub-category.
4.3.7 Access Number
To avoid data redundancy, if the current data items have the same meaning and format as other data items or data items defined in this standard, they should be "taken
"Defined" data items. The rules of "access" are. the number of the current data item, the name of the data item, and the Chinese abbreviation use the data element being accessed
Element number, data item name, Chinese abbreviation; "type", "length" default; "constraint" conditions should be reconfirmed according to the requirements of this data class/subclass
(M/O). After fetching a data element, the number of the next data element follows the previous data element numbering of the current data element.
"Access" is generalized. When needed, the current data class/subclass can access other information standards or data classes already defined in this standard /
Subclass.
4.3.8 Reference number
To avoid data redundancy, current data items can "reference" other information standards or the format of other synonymous data elements in this standard. "Quote"
The description rule is. List the number of the referenced data element in the "Reference Number" (data elements that reference other information standards should be marked with the label
No.); "Type" and "Length" default; "Constraint" conditions should be reconfirmed (M/O) according to the requirements of this data class/subclass.
5 Scalability
This standard does not include basic data for all aspects of education administration and can be expanded in the future based on actual conditions. Future extensions
