This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
This standard replaces GB/T 9551-1999 "chlorothalonil original drug", compared with GB/T 9551-1999, the main technical changes are as follows.
--- Appearance from "white to gray or light yellow powder, non-colored blocks" to "white powder";
--- Cancel grading, the provisions of chlorothalonil mass fraction of not less than 97.0%;
--- Hexachlorobenzene control indicators revised to not higher than 0.04g/kg;
--- Increased deca-biphenyl control index.

1 Scope
This standard specifies the chlorothalonil requirements, test methods and signs, labels, packaging, storage and acceptance period.
This standard applies to chlorothalonil and its impurities in the production of chlorothalonil consisting of the original drug.
NOTE Other names, structural formulas and basic physico-chemical parameters of chlorothalonil, hexachlorobenzene and deca-biphenyl are given in Appendix A.
