Domestic sanitary insecticide -
Electrothermal vaporizing liquid
1 Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, requirements, test methods,
inspection rules and markings, packaging, transportation, storage, use
instructions of electrothermal vaporizing liquid (including electric heaters) for
domestic sanitary insecticide.
This standard is applicable to products in which the smokable mandrel is placed
in a bottle filled with a liquid-medicine and heated by a matching electric heater,
acts on the mosquito in a gaseous state, has a mosquito-repellent effect.
2 Normative references

4.2.2 Dimensions of the external thread of the liquid-medicine bottle with a
thread: the outer diameter D of the thread is ; the pitch t is 2.5
mm; the width A of the thread is 1.25 mm; the height h of the thread is more
than 0.95 mm.
4.3 Sense
4.3.1 The same product can be odorless or multiple flavors; its flavor shall be
consistent with the stated flavor.
4.3.2 The liquid-medicine shall be clear, without flocculent, delamination,
crystallization, or precipitation.
4.3.3 There shall be no obvious smoke or odor during normal use.
4.4 Tightness
After the liquid-medicine bottle has passed the 5.4 test, there shall be no
spillage of the liquid-medicine on the outside of the bottle.
4.5 Free fall
After the liquid-medicine bottle has passed the 5.5 test, there shall be no
spillage of liquid-medicine on the outside of the bottle, no damage to the bottle;
meanwhile the suction rod shall not break.
4.6 Evaporation rate
When it is continuously used to the half time of the stated time, the remaining
liquid-medicine as tested shall be not lower than 30% of the stated net content;
the content of the active ingredient of the remaining liquid-medicine shall not be
less than 80% of the stated content.
4.7 Electric heater
See Appendix A for technical requirements for electric heaters.
5 Test method
5.1 General
The requirements for the use of active ingredients, toxicology, active ingredient
content, allowable fluctuation range, efficacy, heat storage stability, minimum
retention period of electrothermal vaporizing liquid, the net content of
double-sampling samples is 4. It allows for 1 sample to be unqualified,
otherwise it is determined as unqualified.
7 Marking, packaging, transportation, storage,
instructions for use
7.1 Marking
7.1.1 The following Chinese content shall be on the product or packaging:
a) Product name, trademark, manufacturer's name, location;
b) Active ingredients and content;
c) Implemented standard number of product;
d) Production date, product lot number and expiration date;
e) Product quality inspection conformity mark;
f) Model or specification;
g) Pesticide registration certificate number or pesticide temporary
registration certificate number;
h) Pesticide production approval document number or production license
number;
i) Toxicity identification;
j) Precautions (e.g. keep away from children, do not store in high temperature,
open flames, etc.)
k) Net content of electrothermal vaporizing liquid;
l) Minimum duration of electrothermal vaporizing liquid;
m) The length of special wire of special specification must be specified.
7.1.2 The product’s packaging box shall have the following Chinese content:
a) Graphical signs for packaging, storage and transportation;
b) Product name and specifications;
c) Quantity;
d) Gross weight;

(Normative)
Requirements and test methods of electric heater
A.1 Requirements
A.1.1 Appearance
A.1.1.1 Plastic parts must not have obvious plastic defects or warping
deformation, cracks, scratches, burrs.
A.1.1.2 Each component of the electric heater is assembled tightly; the
fasteners must not be loose.
A.1.1.3 Metal parts shall not have rust spots.
A.1.2 Operating temperature (radiation temperature) and deviation of
electric heater
The operating temperature (radiation temperature) of the electric heater is
determined by the manufacturer. It shall be clearly stated on the appliance or
packaging. The temperature deviation is ± 7 °C.
A.1.3 Voltage fluctuation characteristics
The power supply’s voltage varies within ± 10% of the rated voltage and shall
not affect normal use.
A.1.4 Protection against touching live parts
The structure and enclosure of the appliance shall be adequately protected
against accidental exposure to live parts.
A.1.5 Input power and current
For appliances with an input power not greater than 25 W at the rated voltage
and under normal operating temperature, the deviation of their input power or
working current from their rated input power or rated current shall not be more
than + 20%.
A.1.6 Heating
A.1.6.1 The surface temperature rise of the hand holding part of the enclosure
of the electric heater shall not exceed 50 K.

A.1.11.3 Structure
The product shall be a category II electrical structure and meet the relevant
requirements of Chapter 22 of GB 4706.81-2014.
A.1.12 Internal wiring
A.1.12.1 It shall comply with the provisions of Chapter 23 of GB 4706.1-2005.
A.1.12.2 After the test of A.2.14.2, the appliance shall meet the requirements of
A.1.5 and A.1.17 and the electrical connections shall not be loose.
A.1.13 Screws and connections
It shall comply with the provisions of Chapter 28 of GB 4706.1-2005.
A.1.14 Power connection and external flexible cords and plugs
A.1.14.1 Power cord
A.1.14.1.1 For electric heaters with power cords, the nominal cross-sectional
area of the conductors within 2000 mm shall not be less than 0.5 mm2; the
length of products with special specifications within 1000 mm shall be specified,
which shall not be less than the indicated value.
A.1.14.1.2 The power cord shall meet the requirements of the compulsory
certification of the relevant state departments.
A.1.14.2 Tension of power cord
The power cord shall have a fixing device to prevent it from being pulled out of
the electric heater. It can withstand a tension test of 30 N for 25 times. During
the test, the power cord shall not be damaged. After the test, the vertical
displacement of the power cord shall not exceed 2 mm. There shall be no
significant tension at the wiring terminal.
A.1.14.3 Bending resistance of power cord
A.1.14.3.1 For electric heaters without reels, the power cord shall be subject to
bending resistance test.
A.1.14.3.2 The entrance of the power cord into the appliance shall be subject
to the bending resistance test for 10000 times. After the test, the insulation shall
not be damaged; the sheath shall not fall off; the breaking strand of copper core
shall not exceed 10%.
A.1.14.4 Plug
The plugs shall be non-reconnectable plugs that comply with the requirements
of GB/T 1002 and GB/T 2099.1.
A.1.15 Creepage distances, clearances, solid insulation
A.1.15.1 Reinforced insulation clearances and creepage distances between
live parts of electric heaters of different potentials, and between live parts and
their accessible surfaces shall meet the requirements of Table A.1.

A.1.15.2 Additional insulation and reinforced insulation shall have sufficient
thickness or sufficient number of layers to withstand the electrical stresses that
may occur during use of the appliance.
A.1.16 Heat resistance
The enclosure must have sufficient heat resistance. After passing the ball
pressure test, the diameter of the indentation shall not be more than 2 mm.
A.1.17 Indication device
The electric heater shall have a power-on indicating device.
A.1.18 Signs and instructions
A.1.18.1 The appliance shall be marked with the following contents:
a) Rated voltage or rated voltage range, in volts (V);
b) Symbol of the nature of the power supply, except those marked with a
rated frequency;
c) Rated input power, in watts (W), or rated current, in amps (A);
d) Name, trademark or identification mark of the manufacturer or responsible
underwriter;
e) Appliance name, model or serial number;
f) Symbols of category II structure (category II appliances only);
g) IP code of waterproof grade, IPXO is not marked.
A.1.18.2 The product packaging contains the following:
A.2.2.8 The arbitration of the operating temperature (radiation temperature) and
deviation of the electric heater shall be inspected according to Method 2.
A.2.3 Voltage fluctuation characteristics
At an ambient temperature of (23 ± 2) ° C and a relative humidity of (65 ± 15)%,
when the regulation voltage is respectively at the two voltage values of the rated
voltage ± 10%, it shall still be used normally.
A.2.4 Protection against touching live parts
It is performed according to the relevant requirements of Chapter 8 of GB
4706.1-2005.
A.2.5 Input power and current
It is performed according to the relevant requirements of 10.1, 10.2 in GB
4706.81-2014.
A.2.6 Heating
Apply 1.06 times the rated voltage. Continuously energize for 2 h. Measure the
surface temperature rise value of the part held by the hand of the electric
heater’s enclosure. The test is performed according to the method required in
Chapter 11 of GB 4706.1-2005.
A.2.7 Leakage current
A.2.7.1 Leakage current at operating temperature
It is performed according to the relevant methods in Chapter 13 of GB 4706.1-
2005. The test voltage is 1.06 times the rated value.
A.2.7.2 Tide leakage current
It is performed according to the conditions and methods of 15.3 and 16.2 in GB
4706.1-2005. The test voltage is 1.06 times the rated value.
A.2.8 Electrical strength
A.2.8.1 Electrical strength at cold state
It is performed according to the conditions and methods of 16.3 in GB 4706.1-
2005. The test set current is 100 mA.
A.2.8.2 Electrical strength at operating temperature
It is performed according to the relevant methods in 13.3 of GB 4706.1-2005.
The test set current is 100 mA.
A.2.13 Screws and connections
It is performed according to the method stipulated in Chapter 28 of GB 4706.1-
2005.
A.2.14 Power connection, external flexible cords and plugs
A.2.14.1 Power cord’s size
A.2.14.1.1 The length is measured by a steel tape measure, from the point
where the power cord or sheath enters the appliance to the inlet of the plug.
A.2.14.1.2 Perform visual inspection on whether the relevant materials for
compulsory product certification are provided.
A.2.14.2 Power cord
Perform testing in accordance with the relevant methods of 25.7 of GB 4706.1-
2005.
A.2.14.3 Tension of power cord
It is performed according to the provisions of 25.15 in GB 4706.1-2005.
A.2.14.4 Bending resistance of power cord
It is performed according to the provisions of 25.14 in GB 4706.1-2005.
A.2.14.5 Plug
It is performed according to the relevant requirements in GB/T 1002 and GB/T
2099.1.
A.2.15 Creepage distances, clearances, and solid insulation
It is measured according to the method specified in Chapter 29 of GB 4706.1-
2005.
A.2.16 Heat resistance
It is performed according to the provisions of 30.1 in GB 4706.1-2005.
A.2.17 Indication device
Check if the electric heater has an indicating device when the power is turned
on.
A.2.18 Signs and instructions
It is performed according to the relevant provisions of Chapter 7 of GB 4706.1-
