Foreword
This standard replaces GB/T 8141-1987 "military suet film".
This standard and GB/T 8141-1987 compared to the main changes are as follows.
- Chapter 1 "Definitions" is modified to "Scope";
--- increase the normative reference documents;
--- delete the technical requirements will be measured, the requirements of the test;
--- increase the technical requirements of the "ash", "rosin", "female" indicators and requirements;
--- adjust the technical requirements of the "color index" indicators required value;
--- Added Chapter 4 "Sampling" to remove the contents of the inspection rules;
- to increase the inspection rules in the inspection classification and inspection items;
--- increase the storage and transportation of the ambient temperature requirements;
--- increase the storage time requirements.

1 Scope
This standard specifies the technical requirements, sampling, test methods, inspection rules and marking, packaging, storage and transportation of military suet films.
This standard applies to high-quality natural shellac gum as raw material, with hot filter, solvent processing for the military production sector dedicated purple
film.
