This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part 1.Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents"

This document replaces GB/T 2965-2007 "Titanium and Titanium Alloy Rods". Compared with GB/T 2965-2007, except for structural adjustment and editing
In addition to sexual changes, the main technical changes are as follows.
a) Added “Classification and Labeling” (see Chapter 4);
b) Changed the product specification range (see 4.1, 3.1.1 of the.2007 version);
c) The technical requirements for TA1, TA2, TA3, and TA5 products have been changed, and TA4 has been deleted (see Chapter 5, Chapter 3 of the.2007 edition and
Appendix A);
d) Added technical requirements for TA1G, TA2G, TA3G, TA4G, TA18, TB6, TC17, TC18, TC21, and TC25 products
(See Chapter 5);
e) The overall dimensions and their allowable deviations have been changed (see 5.2, 3.4 of the.2007 edition);
f) The analysis method of chemical composition has been changed (see 6.1, 4.1 of the.2007 edition);
g) Changed the inspection method of overall dimensions and their allowable deviations (see 6.2, 4.8 of the.2007 edition);
h) The test method for room temperature tensile properties has been changed (see 6.3, 4.2 of the.2007 edition);
i) Changed the test method for high temperature tensile properties (see 6.4, 4.3 of the.2007 edition);
j) Changed the test method of β transition temperature (see 6.6, 4.5 of the.2007 edition);
k) Changed the sampling requirements (see Table 4, Table 6 of the.2007 version);
l) The judgment of inspection results has been changed (see 7.5, 5.5 of the.2007 edition);
m) The grade, chemical composition and room temperature mechanical properties of industrial pure titanium in the old standard in Appendix B are deleted (see Appendix B of the.2007 version).

Foreword
This standard replaces GB/T 2965-1996 "titanium and titanium alloy bars."
This standard compared with GB/T 2965-1996, mainly in the following changes.
--- Expanded bar size range. minimum diameter or cross-sectional thickness from 8mm becomes > 7mm, the maximum diameter of the rod from
200mm extended to 230mm, length of the annealed bars, expanded to 300mm ~ 3000mm;
--- According to the revision of commercially pure titanium grades GB/T 3620.1 and its chemical composition, industrial pure titanium grades amended accordingly to
TA1, TA2, TA3 and TA4;
--- Increased TA13, TA15, TA19, TC4ELI and other titanium alloys;
--- Reference ASTMB348. 06 standard, revised the requirements for the mechanical properties of the corresponding rod cross-sectional area and the cross-sectional thickness
Regulations;
--- Increase the technical requirements for commercially pure titanium grades and TA13, TA15, TA19, TC4ELI other brands of titanium rod;
--- Increase the size of the bar diameter or cross-sectional thickness tolerance requirements;
--- Increase the informative Appendix B, and a standard format editing.
