1 Scope
This document specifies the product classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking and accompanying documents and packaging of dimethyl sulfoxide.
Transportation and storage.
This document applies to dimethyl sulfide synthesized from methanol and carbon disulfide or hydrogen sulfide, and then purified by pure oxygen oxidation or from electronic cleaning agents
Dimethyl sulfoxide is obtained by distilling and purifying the dimethyl sulfoxide recovery liquid.
Note. The molecular formula of dimethyl sulfoxide is C2H6OS, the structural formula is, and the relative molecular mass is 7 8.1 3 (according to the 2022 International Relative Atomic Energy Standard
quality).
