Foreword
This standard was drafted in accordance with GB/T 1.1-2009 given rules.
This standard replaces GB/T 16989-1997 "geotextile joints/seams by wide strip tensile test method." This standard
GB/T 16989-1997 compared to the main differences are as follows.
--- The standard name of the geotextile to geosynthetics, geotextile text portion corresponding to geosynthetics;
--- Introduction of the original parts incorporated in Chapter 1, increasing the range of products is not applicable;
--- Chapter 2 adds GB/T 6682, GB/T 13759 and GB/T 16825.1 standard three references;
--- 3.3 and 3.4 in terms of the unit is adjusted to represent Note;
--- 5.1 removed CRT tensile testing machine, adding "consistent with GB/T 16825.1 of the two requirements";
--- Jig alone as 5.2, and adds 1;
--- Deletes from the original 6.3 sample preparation;
--- Increased 6.3.1 General;
6.4 --- The title of the "directional characteristics" to "Indexes";
--- 8.1 modify the range selection requirements, an increase of paragraph 3;
--- Remove the condition excluded data 8.3, 8.4 culling criteria;

This revised standard adopts ISO 10321.2008 "Geosynthetics joints/seams by wide strip tensile test method" (in English). The standard

1 Scope
This standard specifies the method of using a wide strip joints and seams sample measured tensile properties of geosynthetic material.
This standard applies to most of the geosynthetics, geogrids also applies, but the sample size may need to make appropriate changes. This standard
