introduction
China is a big country in the development and production of anti-theft safes (boxes). It was designed and manufactured in 1989 for the design, manufacture and inspection of anti-theft safes (boxes).
The mandatory national standard GB 10409-1989 "Anti-theft safes" was revised in.2001; according to the actual situation in China
In.1997, the public security industry mandatory standard GA166-1997 "Anti-theft Safe" was released, and it was carried out in.2006.
Revised. With the maturity of China's anti-theft safe (box) market and occupying an important position in the international market, in order to improve our anti-theft insurance
The applicability of the national standard of the cabinet (box) and the technical level of the industry. In this revision, the automatic teller machine anti-theft safe and the assembled anti-theft insurance
Cabinets and input-type anti-theft safes are included in this standard, which expands the scope of application of the standard; at the same time, the standard will increase the security level of the anti-theft safe (box).
Line expansion and promotion, the anti-theft time is clearly defined in the product mark, which helps consumers to select products according to their needs; the standard also increases and
Clarify the tools used to attack and destroy the products to regulate the detection of products; this standard improves the requirements for the safety performance of locks, clearly stipulates theft
Safes (boxes) should use anti-theft safe locks in accordance with this standard to further ensure the overall safety of the anti-theft safe (box).

Foreword
All technical contents in this Standard are mandatory.
This Standard is the revision of GB 10409-1989.
This Standard no longer specify that the burglary resistant safes must be installed with warning unit. It
classifies the safety performance of the burglary resistant safes. It does not divide the products into
qualified product, first-class products and superior products. The contents of technical requirements and
test methods of previous version have been detailed and supplemented, such as. Class A products in
the previous version were subdivided into Class A1 and Class A2; Class B products were subdivided
into Class B1, B2 and B3. It respectively specifies the gaps between cabinet door and door frame,
according to the height of cabinet. For the code-volume of the electronic lock, add the requirements of
“arbitrarily-variable code”; and requirements and test methods of “anti-electromagnetic interference”.
Add the “Inspection Item Table”, etc.
This Standard will replace GB 10409-1989, from its implementation date.
This Standard was proposed by the Ministry of Public Security of the People’s Republic of China.
This standard shall be under the jurisdiction of Standardization Technical Committee for Security &

3 Definitions
For the purpose of this standard, the following terms and definitions shall apply.
3.1 Burglary resistant safes
It refers to a kind of safes that is equipped with mechanical and electronic lock (including combination
lock, IC card lock, etc.) which can be used to resist abnormal entry under specified conditions within the
required time.
3.2 Safety class
The classification of anti-destruction capacity that the burglary resistant safes can withstand. The
classification is divided based on the duration of net working time that the burglary resistant safes can
resist to the abnormal entry, under the action of the specified destroying tools.
3.3 Entry
During the destruction resistant test, open the cabinet door of various burglary resistant safes or make
an opening not smaller than the specified area on the cabinet door or body, within the specified net
working time. Class A burglary resistant safes is 38cm2; Class B and Class C burglary resistant safes are
13cm2.
3.4 Common hand tools
Including the chisel, punch, wedge, screwdriver, hacksaw, wrench, pliers, hammer with the of weight not
more than 3.6kg, the prying tools with the length of not more than 1.5m, and general digging tools.
3.5 Portable electric tools
The electric hand drills with the bit diameter of not more than 12.5mm, the electric hammer drills with the
punch diameter of not more than 25mm and the pressure devices.
3.6 Grinding point
The grinding tools with shapes such as cone, disk, or cylinder that is driven by die grinders with the
rotate speed of 14000 r/min-22000 r/min.
The mechanical lock used in the burglary resistant safes shall comply with the requirements of GA/T 73.
5.4 Electronic lock (including IC card lock, electronic combination lock, etc.)
5.4.1 The coded number of the electronic combination lock shall not be less than 106. And the password
can be changed arbitrarily.
5.4.2 If the password is entered by key buttons, the key buttons shall not occur any failure in 6000
continuous pressing actions.
5.4.3 When the electronic combination lock are knocked by the energy of not more than 0.5J, the
mis-operation and damage phenomena shall be avoided.
5.4.4 The electronic combination lock shall have emergency opening function. And it may have multilevel
and multi-group opening passwords.
5.4.5 The password entrance of electronic combination lock shall be prompted. When it is continuously
entered with wrong password for three times or mis-operation, the electronic combination lock shall have
time-limited locking, alarm and other functions. However, after the time-limited locking and alarm, it shall
recover the correct operation and operate normally.
5.4.6 When the supply voltage of the electronic lock changes within the range of 85%-110% of the rated
voltage, the electronic lock shall be able to work normally. When the power voltage is below the specified
alarm voltage, it shall have under-voltage alarm indications. After under-voltage alarm, the power
capacity shall still meet more than 240 times of normal opening and closing of electronic lock.
5.4.7 The electronic lock shall be equipped with external power interface or emergency opening unit.
5.4.8 For the burglary resistant safes adopting electronic lock, the key parts of electronic lock shall be
protected. When the keyboard, wire, electromechanical actuators are destroyed and attacked, they shall
be able to withstand the destruction resistant test for corresponding classes of burglary resistant safes.
5.4.9 The environmental suitability of electronic lock shall comply with the requirements of A-1/2; A-2/5;
A-3/3; A-4/1; A-6/3; and A-18/3 in GB /T15211-1994.
5.4.10 The immunity requirements of the electronic lock shall meet the test requirements specified in

and GB/T 17626.11 (Class 40, duration of 5 cycles).
5.5 Power supply
5.5.1 The power supply’s power, energy consumption, environmental adaptability and safety
requirements shall satisfy the corresponding product technical requirements.
5.5.2 When the AC 220V power supply is used as the main power supply, there shall have a standby
power (a rechargeable battery or primary battery). It works normally within the range of 85%-110% of
rated voltage of the main power supply. And there shall have an overcurrent protecti...
