1 Scope
This Standard specifies the technical requirements, storage period, marking,
packing, transportation, and storage of reference fluids for compatibility testing
of motor vehicle braking fluids.
This Standard applies to the reference fluids for compatibility testing of motor
vehicle braking fluids, and also to the reference fluids for chemical stability test.

3 Technical requirements
3.1 The reference fluids shall meet the performance requirements of HZY4 in
GB 12981-2012.
3.2 The water content of the reference fluids shall be no more than 0.20% (mass
fraction).
3.3 The components of the reference fluids are shown in Table 1.
