1 Scope
This Standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection
rules, packaging, storage, transport, quality certificate of impregnating coal
pitch.
This Standard is applicable to impregnating coal pitch for carbon material
production.

5 Inspection rules
5.1 Inspection and acceptance
The quality inspection and acceptance of impregnating coal pitch are performed
by quality supervision department.
5.2 Batch
Impregnating coal pitch shall be submitted in batches for inspection, consisting
of products of same grade.
5.3 Sampling and sample preparation
For each batch of products, impregnating coal pitch is sampled according to
GB/T 1999. Solid asphalt is sampled according to GB/T 2000. After sampling,
perform sample preparation according to GB/T 2291.
5.4 Determination of inspection results
5.4.1 The product grade is determined according to the indicators in Table 1.
When any item failed, it shall double sampling and inspect the failed item. Only
when all the inspection items pass, this batch of products are determined as
qualified. If there is one item unqualified, this batch of products shall be
determined as unqualified.
5.4.2 The determination of reference indicators and other items shall be
determined by negotiation between the supplier and the purchaser.
5.4.3 The test result value shall be rounded off according to GB/T 8170.
6 Packaging, storage, transport, quality certificate
6.1 Packaging
Solid impregnating coal pitch products are generally packaged in bulk bags.
The quality of the bulk bags shall meet the requirements of GB/T 10454. Liquid
impregnating coal pitch products generally use tank storage. When the
purchaser has special requirements for product packaging, it may be
determined by the supplier and the purchaser through negotiation.
6.2 Storage
Impregnating coal pitch shall be stored in a dry, clean, ventilated environment.
