National Institute of Standardization.

Terminology of waste product recovery
1 Scope
This Standard specifies the basic terminology of waste product recovery.
This Standard is applicable to the management, technical research,
development, operation, standard development, etc. of waste product recovery.
It can also be used as a reference in other relevant work.
2 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions are applicable to this Standard.
2.1 Waste product
Waste products refer to the products that are no longer used by the product
owner(s) and have been discarded or abandoned, and the non-conforming
products, scrap products and expired products generated in the process of
production, transportation, sales and application.
2.2 Second hand product
Second hand products refer to the products with part or all of the original value
in use, which can be reused after being transferred to someone else.
2.3 Prevention and control
It refers to the measures taken for reducing the quantity and toxicity of the
waste products (2.1) as well as the harm to the environment and human health.
2.4 Collection
It refers to the process of gathering, sorting and arranging the waste products
(2.1).
2.5 Storage
It refers to the activity of temporarily storing the waste products (2.1) in the
places conforming to relevant requirements.
2.6 Disassembly
