1 Scope
This document specifies the requirements for fixed general purpose luminaires.
This document applies to fixed general purpose luminaires with a power supply voltage
not exceeding 1000 V and using electric light sources.
2 Normative references
The following referenced documents are indispensable for the application of this
document. For dated references, only the edition cited applies. For undated references,
the latest edition of the referenced document (including any amendments) applies.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions defined in Part 11 apply.
4 General test requirements
The provisions of Part 1, Chapter 0 apply. The tests specified in the relevant chapters
of Part 1 shall be carried out in the sequence specified in this document.
NOTE: A list of modified sub-clauses for more stringent or critical requirements requiring retesting
is given in Annex A.
5 Classification of luminaires
The provisions of Chapter 2 of Part 1 shall apply.
1 "Part 1" mentioned in this document refers to GB/T 7000.1.
6 Marks
The provisions of Chapter 3 of Part 1 shall apply.
7 Structure
The provisions of Chapter 4 of Part 1 shall apply.
8 Creepage distances and clearances
The provisions of Chapter 11 of Part 1 apply.
9 Grounding regulations
The provisions of Chapter 7 of Part 1 apply.
10 Terminals
The provisions of Chapters 14 and 15 of Part 1 apply.
11 External wiring and internal wiring
The provisions of Chapter 5 of Part 1 apply.
12 Protection against electric shock
The provisions of Chapter 8 of Part 1 apply.
13 Durability test and thermal test
The provisions of Chapter 12 of Part 1 shall apply.
Luminaires with an IP classification number greater than IP20 shall be subject to the
relevant tests of 12.4, 12.5, 12.6 and 12.7 in Part 1 after the test in 9.2 and before the
test in 9.3 of Part 1 in Chapter 14.
14 Dustproof, solid foreign matter proof and waterproof
The provisions of Chapter 9 of Part 1 shall apply.
