This Part equivalently adopts IEC 60598-2-1:1979 Luminaires – Part 2-1: Particular
Requirements – Fixed General Purpose Luminaires and Amendment No.1 in 1987.
The major differences between this Part and IEC 60598-2-1:1979+A1:1987 include:
made the editorial modifications, modify the provisions of applicable light source in the
scope of IEC standard into “electric light source”.
This Part replaced GB 7000.10-1999.
The major differences between this Part and GB 7000.10-1999 include:
--- Change the quoted standard from GB 7000.1-1996 into GB 7000.1;
--- Change “this Standard” into “this Part”;
--- Change the standard name into “Luminaires – Part 2-1: Particular Requirements
– Fixed General Purpose Luminaires”; change the standard number from GB
7000.10 to GB 7000.201;
--- Change “dielectric strength” into “electric strength”;
--- Change “resistance to electric tracking” into “resistance to tracking”.
This Part was proposed by China National Light Industry Council.
Luminaires - Part 2-1: Particular Requirements -
Fixed General Purpose Luminaires
1 Scope
This Part of GB 7000 specifies requirements for fixed general purpose luminaires with
supply voltages not exceeding 1000 V, and taking electric light source as the light
source. This Part shall be used in conjunction with GB 7000.1.
2 General Test Requirements
It shall use the provisions in Clause 0 of GB 7000.1. The test specified in the relevant
clauses of GB 7000.1 shall be carried out as per the sequence specified in this Part.
3 Definitions
It shall use the provisions of Clause 1 in GB 7000.1.
4 Classification of Luminaries
It shall use the provisions of Clause 2 in GB 7000.1.
5 Marking
It shall use the provisions of Clause 3 in GB 7000.1.
6 Construction
It shall use the provisions of Clause 4 in GB 7000.1.
7 Creepage Distance and Clearances
It shall use the provisions of Clause 11 in GB 7000.1.
