Compared with GB 29921-2013, the major changes of this Standard are as follows: -- Modify the standard’s name; -- Revise the description of "Scope"; -- Revise the description of "Principles of application"; -- Add requirements for limit of pathogen in dairy products and foods for special dietary; -- Modify part of the content in "Table 1 – Standard for limit of pathogen in prepackaged foods"; -- Add "Appendix A Description of food category (name)". National food safety standard - Limit of pathogen in prepackaged foods 1 Scope This Standard specifies the indicators of pathogen in prepackaged foods and their limit requirements and inspection methods. This Standard applies to prepackaged foods in the categories in Table 1, and does not apply to foods, packaged drinking water, and drinking natural mineral water that are subject to commercial aseptic requirements. 2 Principles of application 2.1 Regardless of whether the limit of pathogen is specified or not, food producers, processors, and operators shall take control measures to reduce the level of pathogen in food and the possibility of causing risks as much as possible. 2.2 The collection and processing of samples shall be implemented in accordance with GB 4789.1. 2.3 The sampling plan and inspection method shall be implemented in accordance with Table 1. n is the number of samples that shall be collected for the same batch of products; c is the maximum allowable number of samples that exceed the value of m; m is the acceptable-level limit value (three-level sampling plan) or the highest safety limit value (two-level sampling plan) of pathogen indicators; M is the highest safety limit value of pathogen indicators. 2.4 Appendix A is used to define the food categories to which the limit of pathogen is applicable. 3 Indicator requirements See Table 1 for the limit of pathogen in prepackaged foods. ......
