This revised standard adopts the International Standard ISO 6940.2004 "textile fabric flammability of ease of ignition of vertically oriented specimens measured
set".
This standard is based on ISO 6940.2004 redrafted with the ISO 6940.2004 The main differences are as follows.
--- Replaces the "Normative references" in the international standards with the corresponding national standards;
--- Normative references, by deleting the text of the standard not referenced in GB/T 5456 (corresponding to ISO 6941), an increase of
GB/T 6529;
--- The Chapter 8 for wet atmosphere "down at a temperature of 20 ℃ ± 2 ℃, relative humidity of 65% ± 5% wet 24h" by the words "in

1 Scope
This standard specifies the test methods for textiles in the vertical direction of ease of ignition.
This standard applies to all types of single-layer or multi-layer (such as a coat, quilted, multilayered, sandwich and similar combinations) fabrics and textile industrial products.
This standard applies to assessment under controlled laboratory conditions, the performance of the textile fabric with the flame contact. But may not apply to air supply

3 Definitions
GB/T 3291.3 and established the following terms and definitions apply to this standard.
3.1
Flame ignition source is applied to the time the specimen.
3.2
Under test conditions, remove the ignition source material after sustained flaming combustion time.
