Determination of cadmium content. Part 11
Flame Atomic Absorption Spectrometry
1 Scope
YS/T 746 This section specifies the determination method without Tin Solder by cadmium content.
This section applies to the determination of lead-free tin-based solders in cadmium content. Measurement range. 0.00050% to 0.0100%.
2 Method summary
Sample was dissolved in hydrochloric acid and nitric acid, in the presence of a small amount of sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid - hydrobromide exclude volatile tin, antimony and other impurities interfering elements in
12% of the mixed acid medium, atomic absorption spectrometer at a wavelength of 228.8nm, with flame atomization, air - acetylene flame measured cadmium
Absorbance.
3 Reagents
Unless otherwise indicated in the analysis using only recognized as analytical grade reagents and distilled or deionized water or equivalent purity.
3.1 hydrochloride (ρ1.19g/mL).
Nitrate 3.2 (ρ1.42g/mL).
3.3 nitric acid (23).
3.4 sulfate (ρ1.84g/mL).
3.5 hydrobromide (ρ1.49g/mL).
3.6 hydrochloric acid - hydrobromide. hydrochloric acid (3.1) and hydrobromic acid (3.5) mixed in equal volumes.
3.7 mixed acid. 300mL of hydrochloric acid (3.1) and 100mL nitric acid (3.2) and mixed.
3.8 cadmium standard stock solution. Weigh 0.5000g cadmium (≥99.99%) in 200mL beaker, add 20mL of nitric acid (3.3), cover
Table pan, over low heat to dissolve. Cooled to room temperature. Water transferred 500mL volumetric flask, was added 25mL of hydrochloric acid (3.1), diluted with water to the mark with
Degree, and mix. This solution 1mL 1mg containing cadmium.
3.9 Cadmium Standard Solution A. Pipette 25.00mL cadmium standard stock solution (3.8) in 250mL volumetric flask, was added 10mL of hydrochloric acid
(3.1), dilute to the mark with water and mix. This solution 1mL containing 100μg cadmium.
3.10 Cadmium standard solution B. Pipette 50.00mL cadmium standard solution (3.9) in 500mL volumetric flask, was added 20mL of hydrochloric acid (3.1), with
Dilute with water to volume, and mix. This solution 1mL containing 10μg cadmium.
4 Instrument
Atomic absorption spectrometer, with a cadmium hollow cathode lamp.
Under optimum working conditions for those who can reach the following indicators can be used.
--- Characteristic concentration. a solution in the matrix is consistent with the measured solution, characteristic concentration of cadmium should be less than 0.009μg/mL.
--- Precision. measure 10 times the absorbance of the highest concentration of the standard solution, the standard deviation should not exceed 1% of the average absorbance; with
