1 Scope
This standard specifies the type, basic parameters, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, signs, and packages for the scalding equipment used in pig slaughtering.
Loading and transportation.
This standard applies to equipment that uses tunnel steam and canal hot water to scald pig carcasses.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this standard.
3.1
A method of scalding a suspended pig carcass with a saturated vapor of a certain temperature in a closed passage.
3.2
A method of scalding a pig carcass in transit in a hot pool with a certain temperature of hot water.
