Grain and oil machinery - Bran brush
1 Scope
This Standard specifies bran brush’s working principle, model and basic parameters,
technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and marks, packaging,
transportation, and storage requirements.
This Standard applies to vertical-type bran brush [Translator note. hereafter also known as.
brush-bran or brush-bran machine] that processes flake-shaped or crumb-shaped bran in
wheat processing.
2 Normative references
The following documents contain provisions which, through reference in this Standard,
become provisions of this Standard. For dated references, their subsequent amendments
(excluding corrections) or revisions do not apply to this Standard. However, the parties
who enter into agreement based on this Standard are encouraged to investigate whether

the latest versions apply to this Standard.

6.1.3 Test instruments, meters and gauges shall comply with relevant provisions of
calibration, and they are within the effective use period.
6.1.4 Test voltage is 380 V; the deviation is not more than ±10%.
6.1.5 Machine operation and testing, within a same test procedure, shall be operated by
the same skilled operator.
6.1.6 Idling test shall be conducted at rated speed; running time is not less than 30 min.
6.2 Mechanical properties
6.2.1 Determination of peeling-resistance of film coating
It shall be executed according to GB/T 9286.
6.2.2 Rotor balancing verification
Rotor balancing verification shall be conducted on a balancing test machine according to
requirements of GB/T 9239.1; test report shall be issued by test department or test
organization.
6.2.3 Brush-broom mass-difference verification
It shall adopt the electronic weighing scales of which the maximum weighing range is
slightly larger than the brush-broom’s mass, and display resolution is 1 g; calculate the
mass-difference and perform verification.
6.2.4 Determination of bearing temperature and temperature-rise
Before and after the start of the test, use thermometer to measure the surface
temperature of each bearing’s housing, and calculate the temperature-rise.
6.2.5 Noise determination
It shall be executed according to GB/T 17248.3.
6.3 Determination of general requirements and parameters
If there are reference standards in 5.1, 5.2 and 5.3, verify according to these standards;
testing of other requirements shall adopt common method or visual inspection.
7 Inspection rules
7.1 Inspection classification
It is divided into exit-factory inspection and type inspection.
7.2 Exit-factory inspection
8.2.1 It shall be executed in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 24854.
8.2.2 The accompanying files and spare parts shall include.
- Instructions for use;
- Inspection certificate;
- Packing list.
8.2.3 For brush-bran machines that are self-collected by the user, it may adopt
without-packaging.
8.2.4 For brush-bran machines that are entrusted by the users to arrange water-transport
or ground-transport, the packaging may be conducted according to agreed contract.
8.3 Transport
8.3.1 Transport method can be handled according to the agreement by both partied or
normal business practices.
8.3.2 Bare products in transport shall be fixed, and take rain-proof measures.
8.3.3 During transport, the crane loading and unloading shall be conducted in accordance
with the graphical symbols on outer packaging.
8.4 Storage
8.4.1 When it is stored indoor, it shall be well ventilated and take moisture-proof
measures.
8.4.2 When it stored outdoor, it shall adopt moisture-proof, rain-proof, sun-proof, and
wind-proof measures.
