1 Scope
This document describes the methods for the determination of the main chemical components ash, lignin, holocellulose and cellulose in bamboo.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1
Bamboo lignin
A class of amorphous aromatic polymers whose molecular structure contains phenylpropane or its derivatives.
3.2
Bamboo Holocellulose
A general term for cellulose and hemicellulose after removing lignin and extracts.
3.3
Bamboo cellulose bamboocelulose
A linear polymer compound formed by D-glucose connected by 1,4-β-glycosidic bonds.

Bamboo ash
The residue after incineration at a temperature of (575±25)℃.
4.Bamboo powder sample preparation
4.1 Sample collection
Collect bamboo from the same origin and the same bamboo species, and mark the bamboo species, bamboo age, origin, year and month of felling, etc.
4.2 Test material preparation
According to the test requirements, the bamboo slices were cut into thin pieces with a length of about 10 mm, a thickness of 1.5 mm and a width of bamboo wall.
Collect about 1000g of uniform thin bamboo sample.
