1 Scope
This standard specifies the selection of female trees, seed collection and storage, sowing and seedling cultivation of Rhododendron decorum Franch.
Cutting seedlings, seedling management, seedling emergence, pest control, etc.
This standard is applicable to the cultivation of seedlings in the suitable area of the great white rhododendron in southwestern China.

4 Seed collection and storage
4.1 Seed Collection
From October to December, when the capsule turns from turquoise to brownish yellow, it is collected.
4.2 Seed treatment and storage
Spread the capsules in a ventilated place. Tap the capsule and wait for the seeds to fall off. Collect the net seed into the bag and store it at 3 °C ~ 5 °C.
5 sowing seedlings
5.1 Selection
Choose plots with flat terrain, leeward sun, convenient water supply, good drainage, loose soil, and pH 5.0~6.5.
5.2 Preparation for bed

40cm, the length of the seedbed depends on the topography, and is disinfected with 50% dexamethasone 350 times solution or carbendazim, chlorothalonil before sowing.
5.3 Sowing
Sowing from March to May. The seeding amount is 0.08g/m2~0.10g/m2, and the seed to fine soil volume ratio (1.20~1.30) is mixed and sprinkled.
Broadcast, cover 1cm~2cm pine needles, and build plastic arch sheds with bamboo strips.
