1 Scope
This standard specifies the technical regulations for the selection of tung tree varieties, seed requirements, nursery seedlings, direct seedlings and seedling cultivation and management.
This standard is applicable to the seedlings of the genus Euphorbia and the oily genus Verniciafordii (Hemsl.) AiryShaw.

Different producing areas should choose the fine varieties suitable for local cultivation or the fine varieties that have been examined and approved by the state and localities.

4.1 Fruit harvesting
The harvest season of tung tree fruit in the middle and late October, there will be some differences between the north and south cultivation areas, but generally start with green color of tung tree fruit.
Turn red, brown or yellow, and gently shake the tree to have natural fruit drop, you can harvest.
4.2 Fruit Treatment
After harvesting, the tung fruit should be placed in the indoor ventilation area, and the stacking height should not be too high, generally 20cm~30cm, stacked for 15d~20d.
After the shell is softened, the seeds can be peeled off manually or mechanically. The seeds are still placed in a cool place indoors, or they can be placed in a fiber bag or sand.

4.3 Seed requirements
There are also differences in the fruits and seeds of different varieties of Tung oil tree. The weight of 100-grain weight is.200g~350g. The heavier the seeds of the same variety, the better.
Full, no mold, no pests and diseases, inspection requirements are carried out in accordance with GB/T 2772 regulations.
The seeds used for grafting seedlings should be selected from the millennium tung or rice tung.
4.4 Seed treatment
4.4.1 Disinfection
Before the sand storage, soak the seeds with 0.5% potassium permanganate solution, 2 times to 3 times the seed amount disinfectant, and soak for 30 minutes.
