This standard replaces LY/T 1285-1998 "Ship Sawn Timber".
Compared with LY/T 1285-1998, the main technical changes of this standard are as follows.
---Specified the main tree species of ship sawn timber;
--- Delete the "3.2 size, upgrade" in the original standard;
--- Increased the material requirements for the main components of the ship and adjusted the allowable limits of defects;
--- Increased sampling methods for products.
This standard was proposed by the State Forestry Administration.
This standard is under the jurisdiction of the National Timber Standardization Technical Committee.
