This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009 "Guidelines for Standardization Work_Part 1. Structure and Preparation of Standards"
This standard replaces JY 71-1982 "Technical Conditions for Cross-cutting Pumpkin Stem and Longitudinal Cutting of Pumpkin Stem". In addition to editorial changes, major technical changes
as follows.
-Eliminate the "slice thickness between 15 and 25 microns" which is difficult to inspect;
-Cancel the classification of the original qualified products into first-class products and second-class products.

1 Scope
This standard specifies the classification and nomenclature, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, signs, instructions, packaging,

This standard applies to vertical (horizontal) cut glass slide specimens of pumpkin stems for primary and secondary school teaching.

3 Classification and naming
3.1 Classification
The products are divided according to the direction of the slice. pumpkin stem vertical cut and pumpkin stem cross cut.

4 Requirements
4.1 Slides and coverslips, appearance, specimen collection and processing, specimen staining, and specimen covers should comply with JY/T 0067-2011
Chapter 4.
4.2 Specimens should be obtained from pumpkin stems grown in the field, which are moderately old and young.
4.3 The cortical, mechanical tissue, thin-walled tissue, bifidus vascular bundle, and medullary cavity should be visible on the longitudinal (transverse) section.
4.4 The double-flexible vascular bundle on the longitudinal section should clearly show at least two of the ring-shaped conduit, the threaded conduit or the mesh-shaped conduit, and the sieve tube and the sieve plate.
Structural characteristics.
4.5 The slitting material should be neat at both ends and the length should not be less than 5mm.
4.6 The double-flexible vascular bundle on the cross section should clearly show the catheter, formation layer, sieve tube and sieve plate, and the sieve plate has sieve holes.
4.7 The transverse section should be perpendicular to the longitudinal axis, and the cells in each part should not be tilted.
4.8 Specimens were stained with crocus and fast green, or other multiple staining methods. Differentiate mechanical structure, xylem ducts and other tissue structures
