Warning---Personnel using this standard should have practical experience in formal laboratory work. Contact is required during the operation of this standard determination method
A large number of organic reagents did not point out all possible safety issues. The user is responsible for taking appropriate safety and health measures to ensure compliance with national standards.
The conditions stipulated by the relevant laws and regulations of the country.
1 Scope
This standard specifies the method for the determination of halogenated organics in seawater desalination concentrated seawater, mainly for the introduction of chlorine bactericides in the desalination process
Produced volatile halogenated hydrocarbons, chlorophenols, chloroacetic acid, trichloroacetaldehyde and organochlorine pesticides.
This standard is applicable to volatile halogenated hydrocarbons, chlorophenols, chloroacetic acid and trichlorohydrin in seawater desalination of concentrated seawater, discharges into the sea and adjacent water bodies.
For the determination of acetaldehyde and organochlorine pesticides, see Appendix A for the detection limit of the method.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions defined in GB 17378.2 apply to this document.
3.1
Seawater desalination engineering
New, expansion, and reconstruction projects for seawater utilization that transform seawater into fresh water through desalination.
[GB/T 22413-2008, definition 3.2]
3.2
Concentratedseawater
After the seawater is extracted by desalination technology, the seawater is more than doubled.
4 Volatile halogenated hydrocarbons
4.1 Principle
The water sample is placed in a sealed headspace bottle and equilibrated at a certain temperature for a certain period of time. The chloroform, carbon tetrachloride, and bromo
Chloroform, dibromochloromethane and tribromomethane escape to the upper space and reach dynamic equilibrium in the gas-liquid two-phase. At this time, volatile halogenated hydrocarbons
The concentration in the gas phase is directly proportional to its concentration in the liquid phase. The volatile halogenated hydrocarbons in the gas phase were determined by gas chromatography.
