Foreword
This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for standardization work Part 1.Structure and drafting rules for standardization documents"
Drafting.
This document is modified to adopt IEC TR63158.2018 "Objective test method for stroboscopic effects of lighting equipment for general lighting purposes".
This document has made the following structural adjustments compared to IEC TR63158.2018.
---Set up a separate chapter for symbols and abbreviations, and the subsequent chapter numbers will be postponed accordingly.
---Interchange the order of Annex B and Annex C of IEC TR63158.2018, and modify the appendix numbers in the text accordingly (see Annex C,
Appendix D, Appendix B and Appendix C of IEC TR63158.2018).
Compared with IEC TR63158.2018, this document has many technical differences.
A list of these technical differences and their reasons is given in Appendix A.
The following editorial changes were made to this document.
--- Change the name of the standard to "Objective test method for stroboscopic effects of general lighting equipment";
--- The abbreviation TLD was deleted (see 3.3 of IEC TR63158.2018);
--- Added informative Appendix A.
Please note that some of the contents of this document may involve patents. The issuing organization of this document does not assume the responsibility for identifying patents.

Stroboscopic effect of general lighting equipment
Objective test methods
1 Scope
This document describes an objective Stroboscopic Visibility Meter (SVM) that can be applied to the performance of lighting equipment under different operating conditions.
test.
The stroboscopic effects considered in this document are limited to conditions with typical indoor light levels ( >100lx) and with the observer or nearby processing objects.
Objective evaluation of the visible stroboscopic effects of transient light modulation of lighting devices by human observers in ordinary indoor applications with moderate motion (< 4 m/s)
For the applicability limitations of the parameters for evaluating the visibility of stroboscopic effects, see Appendix B, B.1.
Evaluation of undesirable stroboscopic effects in other applications, such as false perception of fast rotation or mechanical movement in industrial environments, requires
Other indicators and methods.
This document is intended to establish an objective basis for evaluating the performance of lighting equipment with respect to stroboscopic effects. This document does not take into account the variation of light color over time.
This document describes the SVM method but does not specify any limits.
The objective methods and procedures described in this document are based on the content of CIETN006.2016 on transient light artifacts (TLAs).
The method described in this document is applicable to objectively evaluate the power supply from any power source, such as AC power supply, DC power supply, battery or via external dimmer.
Type of lighting equipment with stroboscopic effect.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1
Auxiliary equipment auxiliaryequipment
A peripheral device that is part of the system under test.
3.2
Equipment-under-test
Equipment subject to flicker visibility testing.
3.3
Changes in the visual perception of a human observer in a specific environment in response to a light stimulus whose brightness or spectral distribution varies over time.
Note. The change in visual perception is caused by the contrast between the visual perception of the same person in the same environment under modulated light and the visual perception under non-modulated light.
result.

3.4
flicker
The perception of visual instability caused by a static observer in a static environment to a light stimulus whose brightness or spectral distribution changes over time.
