GB/T 39022-2020 GB NATIONAL STANDARD OF THE PEOPLE’S REPUBLIC OF CHINA ICS 29.140.20 K 70 Lighting system and related equipment - Terms and definitions ISSUED ON: JULY 21, 2020 IMPLEMENTED ON: FEBRUARY 01, 2021 Issued by: State Administration for Market Regulation; Standardization Administration of the People’s Republic of China. Table of Contents Foreword ... 3  1 Scope ... 4  2 Terms of lighting ... 4  3 Terms of lighting system ... 5  4 Terms related to the characteristics of the lighting system ... 6  5 Terms of lighting system components and related equipment ... 8  References ... 9  Index ... 10  Lighting system and related equipment - Terms and definitions 1 Scope This Standard defines the terms and definitions of lighting, lighting systems, lighting system-related characteristics, lighting components and related equipment. This Standard applies to related fields such as the design, production, installation, use and evaluation of lighting systems and related equipment. 2 Terms of lighting 2.1 Lighting The application of light in scenario, object, or surrounding environment. Note: Rewrite IEC 60050-845:1987, definition 845-09-01. 2.2 Intelligent lighting Adaptive lighting The lighting that automatically adjusts to provide the required quality according to the environment or predefined conditions. Note 1: Requirements can focus on different aspects, such as energy performance, dynamic user needs, visual operation needs and environmental atmosphere. Note 2: The term "smart lighting" is sometimes used to express a similar meaning. 2.3 Human centric lighting Note 3: The light source and related equipment constituting the lighting system can be an integrated unit, such as LED module, lamp or lantern. Note 4: The lighting system can be connected to the network to provide central or remote control and monitoring functions. Note 5: The lighting system can be connected to other systems or products, or integrated into other systems. 3.3 Intelligent lighting system Adaptive lighting system A lighting system that is used to provide adaptive lighting. 3.4 Human centric lighting system A lighting system that is used to provide human centric lighting. 4 Terms related to the characteristics of the lighting system 4.1 Energy performance (of a lighting system) For a specific space or internal/external environment, the measured or calculated value of energy that is consumed to meet lighting needs. 4.2 Lighting quality A measurement that is used to characterize the overall characteristics of lighting characteristics in line with user needs and other application requirements. 4.3 Compatibility According to the environment, the ability to coexist, interoperate and/or interchange with other systems or system components. Note: Because the meaning of the terms "compatible" and "compatibility" is not clear, when there are other more specific terms, "compatible" and "compatibility” should not be used; it is recommended to select the most appropriate term from "coexistence", "interoperability” and "interchangeability". 4.4 Coexistence The ability of a system or system components to operate together without causing harmful or undesirable effects on each other. 4.5 Interoperability The ability of a system or system component to send, receive, and interpret data in a specific way, or the ability to respond to data or energy in a specific way. 4.6 Interchangeability The ability of system components to be functionally and/or physically replaceable. Note: Interchangeability includes functional interchangeability and physical interchangeability. 4.7 Functional interchangeability The ability of components outside the system to functionally replace the corresponding components in the system and make the system operate equivalently. Note: Components with functional interchangeability may not have physical interchangeability. 4.8 Physical interchangeability The ability of components outside the system to replace the corresponding components in the system in terms of assembly. ......
