This document supersedes GB/T 5223-2014 "Steel Wire for Prestressed Concrete" and GB/T 30828-2014 "Medium-strength Steel Wire for Prestressed Concrete".
"Strength Steel Wire", compared with GB/T 5223-2014 and GB/T 30828-2014, this document mainly differs from GB/T 5223-2014 in that, apart from structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main differences are...
The technological changes are as follows.
---The maximum force and 0.2% yield strength of some specifications and strength grades of steel wire have been changed (see Tables 1 and 2, GB/T 5223-).
Tables 4 and 5 of.2014 and Table 4 of GB/T 30828-2014);
---Stress-relieving steel wires with a nominal tensile strength of 1960 MPa have been added (see Table 2);
---The technical requirements for Att when the nominal tensile strength is less than 1470 MPa have been revised (see Table 2, 7.3.1 of GB/T 30828-2014);
---Stress-relieving steel wires with a nominal tensile strength of 650 MPa have been removed (see Table 4 of GB/T 30828-2014);

3 Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

cold-drawn wire
Wire rod is a product formed by cold working through processes such as wire drawing to reduce its diameter, and is supplied as coiled steel wire.

Low-relaxation steel wire products are formed by stabilization treatment of steel wire.

The phenomenon that stress decreases with time under isothermal constant length conditions.

The surface of the steel wire has continuous, regular spiral ribs along its length (see Figure 1).
