Foreword
This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1:1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents"
Drafting:
This document replaces GB/T 4543-2008 "Ship Pyrotechnic Signals" and GB/T 3107-2008 "Self-illuminating floating lights and spontaneous smoke for lifebuoys"
"Fog Combination Signal", compared with GB/T 4543-2008, in addition to structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows:
a) Changed classification and labeling examples (see 4:1, 4:2, 4:1, 4:2 of the:2008 version);
b) Added requirements and test methods for spontaneous smoke signal release of lifebuoys (see 5:2:3 and 6:4:2);
c) Changed the color requirements for rocket parachute flame signals and handheld flame signals (see 5:3:5, 5:4:3,:2008 version of 5:2:5:5,
5:2:6:3);
d) Change the smoke shielding rate to smoke concentration (see 5:5:3, 5:2:7:3 of the:2008 version);
e) Added temperature requirements in the basic performance parameter test of floating smoke signals (see 6:8:1);
f) The validity period in the change mark is the expiration date (see 8:1, 8:1 of the:2008 version):

1 Scope
This document specifies the classification and marking, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and standards of life-saving pyrotechnic signals (hereinafter referred to as pyrotechnic signals):
Logging, packaging, storage and transportation:
This document applies to the design, manufacture and acceptance of pyrotechnic signals configured on life-saving equipment:
2 Normative reference documents
This document has no normative references:
3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document:
3:1
pyrotechnicssignalpyrotechnicssignal
A general term that uses the flame or smoke emitted after a chemical mixture (such as gunpowder) is ignited as a communication signal for identification:
3:2
flame signalflaresignal
The chemical mixture is ignited and burns flamingly and emits light and flame signals:
Note: Usually used as a night contact signal:
3:3
smoke signal smokesignal
When the chemical mixture is ignited, it burns flamelessly and emits a smoke signal:
Note: Usually used as a daytime contact signal:
3:4
When used, the smoke signal can be generated by itself only with the help of the automatic release device:
4 Classification and tagging
4:1 Classification
Pyrotechnic signals are divided into the following four categories according to how they are used:
a) RF type---rocket parachute flame signal;
b) HF type---handheld flame signal;
c) BS type---floating smoke signal;
d) LS type---lifebuoy spontaneous smoke signal:
4:2 Marking
The marking of the pyrotechnic signal consists of the document number, usage model, burning duration, and light intensity sequence:
