3.1 Effect concentration; ECx
The concentration of the test substance that causes x% of the test organisms to exhibit an observed effect during a given test period, compared to the control group.
It is expressed as the amount of test substance contained in the test soil (based on dry weight).
3.2 No lethal concentration; LC0
The highest concentration of a test substance that does not cause death to any test organism during a given test period.
The amount of test substance contained is expressed.
