--- Part 300.Master Data Guide. The purpose is to provide a common template for commonly used master data types.
OTD is a term defined and derived from consensus bodies such as ISO, IEC, and other organizations that have a consensus process for developing terminology.
OTD is a collection of terms, definitions, and images used to describe concepts such as individuals, organizations, locations, goods, and services.
In GB/T 44275, items are described by membership in a class and a set of attribute-value pairs.
OTD.
--- Allows attributes to be explicitly defined in ISO 10303 documents;
--- Allowing for clear definition and exchange of information between multinational partners without loss of meaning;
---Supports database synchronization with minimal data mapping requirements;
---Provide transparent information flow in multiple information formats (especially between government systems and commercial systems);
---Provide timely and accurate data to support financial and accounting processes;
---Support cost-effective procurement;
---Support inventory management and rationalization;
---Provide commercial and intergovernmental transactions;
---Support multiple units of measurement and international currencies;
---Support multiple categories and multiple languages.
Any organization that reaches a consensus can submit a term for inclusion in the OTD. GB/T 44275 does not establish new standardized terms.
Each OTD will provide a global unambiguous identifier for each concept and provide the original source of the term (term, definition and image)
References. The OTD aims to link terms and definitions with the same semantic content and to refer to the original source of each term and definition.
Therefore, the purpose of OTD is not to duplicate existing standards but to provide a comprehensive set of terms for describing people, organizations, places, goods and services.
Although the process of harmonizing terminology is outside the scope of GB/T 44275, the OTD can be used as a useful research tool to help
Harmonization between ISO, IEC and other standards.
The IG specifies which concepts can be used and restricts which concepts can be linked to each other, such as the IG specifies the attributes that can be linked to the class.
Additionally, where a concept has multiple terms, definitions, and images, the IG can specify which terms, definitions, and images apply.
Master data is data held by an organization that describes entities that are both independent and fundamental to the organization and that need to be referenced in order to be used.
Execute its business.
Catalogs represent master data in the form of attribute-value pairs.
This document describes the maintenance procedures for OTD. The concept of operation of the Dictionary Maintenance Organization (DMO) described in this part is.
The consensus organization within the organization will standardize the content and then submit it to the DMO for inclusion in the OTD.
All requests for OTDs will contain terms that have been standardized by the consensus organization, so DMOs do not need to conduct technical review before adding entries to the OTD.
Technical review.
