introduction
This document is a 10-day chronic oral toxicity test method for adult worker bees conducted under laboratory conditions.
Pollinating insects such as bees can be exposed to various pollutants over time by storing and eating contaminated food in the hive, or foraging in contaminated areas.
Plant protection products (PPP) or chemicals. In order to solve the above potential risks, adult worker bees can be fed and treated in the laboratory for 10 consecutive days.
Food (sucrose solution) was used for chronic toxicity testing.
Before using this document to test a mixture and obtain relevant data for a specified regulatory purpose, it should be considered whether doing so (in order to
and why) can provide sufficient test results to achieve the above purposes. When there is a regulation that specifically requires the mixture to be tested, there is no need to have
this concern.

3 Terms, definitions and abbreviations
3.1 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1.1
LCx
The concentration of test substance that causes the death of x% of the test organisms during a given exposure period compared with the control group.
3.1.2
LC50
After statistical calculation, the concentration of the test substance that causes the death of 50% of the test organisms at the end of the test is determined.
Note. The LC50 value in this document is expressed as the content of active ingredients or preparations per kilogram of food, mg (or μg)/kg.
3.1.3
LDD50
After statistical calculation, the dose of the test substance that causes the death of 50% of the test organisms at the end of the test is determined.
Note. The LDD50 value in this document is expressed as the daily dose of active ingredients or preparations consumed by each bee, μg (or ng)/(bee·d).
