GB/T 39011 "Technical Drawing Mechanical Pencil" is divided into three parts.
---Part 1.Classification, size, performance requirements and tests;
---Part 2.Classification and size of black lead core;
---Part 3.Black lead core HB lead core bending strength.
This part is Part 2 of GB/T 39011.
This section was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
The translation method used in this section is equivalent to ISO 9177-2.1989 "Machine Pencil Part 2.Classification and Size of Black Lead".

1 Scope
This part of GB/T 39011 specifies the classification and size of the black lead core of mechanical pencils.
This section applies to two types of black lead cores.

3 Terms and definitions
The terms and definitions defined in ISO 9177-1 and the following apply to this document.

Blacklead
Containing carbon (such as graphite) and adhesive, the resulting black stitches are erasable solid writing materials.

Resin lead
Black lead core with organic polymer as binder.
3.1.2
Graphite lead core ceramiclead
Black lead core using clay as a binder.

Hardnessdegree
Indicates that the hardness increases from 6B to 9H, the stitch concentration increases from 9H to 6B, and the median hardness level is the classification level of HB.
Note. There is no scientific definition of hardness level.

The black lead core should be based on the hardness level (see Table 1), the nominal diameter (see Chapter 5) and the type of the black lead core (ie resin lead or graphite lead)
classification.
