Determination of the difference in content of glycidyl ester
1 Scope
This standard specifies the actual equivalent carbon number 42 (ECN42 HPLC) triglyceride content in oils and fats and the theoretical equivalent carbon number 42 (ECN42 theory)
A method for determining the absolute difference in triester content.
This standard applies to olive oil and is suitable for testing whether various types of olive oil are mixed with a small amount of seed oil (rich in linoleic acid).
Note. ECN42HPLC is determined by high performance liquid chromatography, and the ECN42 theory is calculated from the fatty acid composition determined by gas chromatography.

3 Principle
ECN42 theory of triglyceride content and its difference with ECN42 HPLC triglyceride content is a collaborative calculation of data obtained by other methods.
