1 Scope

This standard specifies the similar parameters of the ship propeller cavitation and its induced pulsating pressure model test on the hull surface. Number, flow simulation and measurement, cavitation observation and pulsation pressure measurement procedures, as well as requirements for test facilities and test instruments. This standard is applicable to the bubble pulsation pressure model test of various types of surface ship propellers in variable pressure circulating water tanks or vacuolar water tanks.
