1 Scope

This standard specifies two methods for determining the electrostatic properties of glass fiber roving. ---Method A. Electrostatic adsorption method; --- Method B. Static voltage half-life method. This standard applies to glass fiber roving.

3 Terms and definitions

4 Principle

4.1 Electrostatic adsorption method The sample is introduced into the chopper for cutting, and the cut yarn segment is freely dropped onto a special inclined surface, and the friction is generated during the cutting process. Static electricity causes the yarn segments to adhere to this slope, and the adsorbed yarn segments are collected for weighing to determine the electrostatic properties of the sample.
